Sri Sakthi Narayani Amma, affectionately known as Amma, is an esteemed spiritual leader in India. With the aim of promoting love and wisdom throughout the world, Amma teaches that service to others is a path to inner peace and harmony.
ABOUT SRI SAKTHI AMMA NARAYANI
Sri Sakthi Amma was born on the third of January, 1976, to Shri. Nanda Gopal and Smt. Jyothiamma. It was evident from birth that this baby was Divine and very special. A distinct, Divine ray of light (Namam) on the baby’s forehead was vividly visible, along with symbols of Chakra (wheel) and Shanka (conch) on either side of the chest.
Through this, the Divine connection was established, and people recognized the child as very special. From a very early age, the child began showing great interest in spiritual life, participated blissfully in pujas (religious ceremonies), and insisted on visiting places of worship on a daily basis. On May 8th, 1992, Sri Sakthi Amma proclaimed the avatar of Goddess Sri Narayani with the purpose of helping humanity on the spiritual path and uplifting the lives of those in need. Extraordinary Siddhis (miraculous powers) were demonstrated to make the message clear.
SRI NARAYANI PEEDAM
Sri Narayani Peedam is an important spiritual centre dedicated to humanity. Established in 1992 by Sri Sakthi Amma in the village of Thirumalaikodi, outside the city of Vellore, Tamil Nadu, it is the headquarters for the realization of Sri Sakthi Amma’s vision.
With an extremely focused vision her mission was to lead humanity on the path, whatever the person’s religion may be, and to uplift the vulnerable through a wide range of social welfare programs.
SEVA / SELFLESS SERVICE
In a short period of time, Amma’s work had a profound and far-reaching impact on the area. The implementation of a multitude of projects alleviated the poverty of the local population, and even spread beyond the immediate region. Over the years, Amma transformed this tiny village into an important spiritual centre filled with seva (selfless service) dedicated to humanity and the environment.
Amma’s design is not simply limited to temple life. The construction of hospitals and soon followed, sweeping the small village area with a complete cultural and environmental transformation. Amma’s holistic vision is designed to enhance every aspect of daily life, be it spiritual, medical, educational, vocational, environmental (including access to clean water) and cultural, providing thousands of job opportunities.
OM NAMO NARAYANI
The meaning is “I bow down and pay homage to Devi Narayani”
(I bow to the Divine Mother).
The mantra itself is Divine.
Chanting is like a code or signal connecting us with the Divine. When we chant the mantra, it creates vibrations based on our intention. The energy then spreads out and energises the place.
This mantra is often used to invoke peace, inner strength, and Divine guidance.
Reciting this sacred mantra is said to surrender the ego, align with Divine will and open the heart to unconditional love and grace.
AMMA'S BLESSING HAND COLLECTION
Our pendants are lovingly handcrafted, from a photograph of Beloved Sri Sakthi Amma’s handprint which was then miniaturised and impressed onto the surface. At Amma’s request we have Amma's sacred mantra written on the other side.
The power of this pendant
Amma’s Divine energy and vibrations are transmitted through Amma’s handprint and the energy is held in the pendant. The effect is that when you wear the pendant or hold it while you pray, the Divine energy of love and the sacred uplifting vibrations are transferred from the pendant into your energy field and the cells of your physical body. The Divine energy also connects with your soul.
Your soul is made of energy and the Divine energy from the pendant mixes with your soul energy so the pendant energises your soul, allowing you to connect with the Divine easily and creating a Divine aura around you. The Divine aura brings protection and positive energy.
Jewellery that serves those in need
Some of the funds from each pendant purchased support the seva (selfless service) projects guided by our beloved Sri Sakthi Amma Narayani.
The Annadhanam (Sacred food service) is one program which is currently serving over 5,000 free meals per day.
Each pendant purchased provides a donation of $50 to Amma’s initiatives which allows for 100 free meals to be given to those in need.
Amma says “There are many different good deeds we can choose to perform. Yet among all the deeds, feeding others (called Annadhaanam) is considered the greatest.
This is because this way of giving, is able to offer full satisfaction and contentment to those receiving. That is why Annadhaanam is considered the greatest seva.”
